Since its inception in 2017, the Hortencia Zavala Foundation has collaborated with the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) in identifying worthy candidates for scholarships.
​
In 2021, the Hortencia Zavala Foundation expanded its support of young journalists to include a journalism camp.
In 2024, the Hortencia Zavala Foundation added paid internships to its student commitment.

How to make a donation
The Hortencia Zavala Scholarship, a not-for-profit corporation provides worthy NAHJ students with an annual $5,000 award.
No donation is too small.
