Anyone who's ever reached any level of success can point to many selfless people who lift them up on their shoulders and help them reach higher and see farther than they ever could on their own two feet.

One of those special people was our Abuelita Hortencia.

She taught her children and grandchildren the value of family support, hard work and community service.

The Hortencia Zavala Foundation (HZF) seeks to honor her memory by supporting worthy students needing financial assistance in reaching their scholastic dreams.
